Montreal-based womenswear label UNTTLD is returning to Canada’s largest city—to present at Toronto Fashion Week on March 15, 2016—after winning the Mercedes-Benz Start Up (MBSU) program last season.

UNTTLD was named the Awarded Designer, after a group runway show where the brand’s design duo José Manuel St-Jacques and Simon Bélanger went head-to-head against five other contenders vying for the coveted title. The contest has grown tremendously in recent years; the prize now featuring year-round mentoring from industry experts, press coverage in FASHION magazine, a $30,000 bursary and, of course, the fashion show next week, produced by IMG.

The collection will make its debut at 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, in the tents at David Pecaut Square—the home of Toronto Fashion Week. For Fall/Winter 2016, St-Jacques and Bélanger found inspiration for the collection in the royal courts of the Renaissance era.

“Since our first entry in the Mercedes-Benz Start Up program in 2011, we’ve been working to mature and evolve the UNTTLD brand and we look forward to showing the industry and our followers our new vision. It’s an honour to return to the Toronto Fashion Week runway and present our Fall/Winter 2106 collection in our solo show as this year’s MBSU Awarded Designer,” said St-Jacques and Bélanger.

St-Jacques and Bélanger have presented UNTTLD at Toronto Fashion Week in the past, but this IMG-produced show is sure to delight Toronto’s most stylish.
