iHeartRadio has dropped the first round of names on its 2017 lineup for the highly-anticipated Much Music Video Awards (MMVAs)—and it includes heavyweights Lorde, Imagine Dragons, Izzy Azalea and Joe Jonas-fronted DNCE. Also on the bill are Julia Michaels and 2017 JUNO winner Jazz Cartier.
Lorde, having graced the MMVA stage back in 2014, will make her second Queen Street debut as Much Music and iHeartRadio take over Toronto’s downtown street on Sunday, June 18 in with the live event slated to be broadcast on Much, CTV and VRAK.
“With our enduring commitment to bringing the best in music to Canadians, this first announcement proves that there’s no shortage of star power for fans this year,” said Nanci MacLean, Vice-President of Bell Media Studios. in a press release distributed to media this morning.
“From pop to rock to hip-hop, the 2017 MMVAs has something for everyone, as the iconic corner of Queen and John in Toronto once again hosts another epic and unforgettable night.”
iHeartRadio has also announced that, for the first time, Canadians will be able to tune in via live stream—using the iHeartRadio app. Music fans can also tune in on Canada’s nine Virgin Radio stations.
